And while humanity has faced many periods of great hardship, I don’t think any period of our History has been more absolutely violent, and bent on crushing the human spirit.
Our times are times of labelling, shaming, and aihilating … Society today has a desperate need to categorize and arrange people, communities and faiths according to a very strict set of rules – one which screams of bigotry, ignorance and arrogant ego-centrism. SHAFAQNA – A suicide bomber reportedly targeted a wedding ceremony in the city of Gaziantep in southe Turkey near the border with Syria on Saturday night. The local goveor said it was carried out by “terrorist organizations.”
Turkish national broadcaster NTV confirmed the news, saying a “terrorist attack” had targeted a wedding celebration.

SHAFAQNA – Turkey’s parliament approved a reconciliation agreement signed with Israel in June which has brought to an end a six-year rift between the two regional powers, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Saturday.
Relations between the two countries crumbled after Israeli marines stormed a Turkish ship in May 2010 to enforce a naval blockade of the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, killing 10 Turks on board.
Israel, which had already offered its apologies for the raid, agreed under the deal to pay out $20 million to the bereaved and wounded in retu for Turkey dropping outstanding legal claims.
Both countries are to appoint ambassadors under an agreement which is partly driven by the prospect of lucrative Mediterranean gas deals.

SHAFAQNA – New York has knocked off London as the world’s premier city for foreign investment in commercial real estate due to fears the vote to leave the European Union would diminish the British capital’s appeal as a global financial center.
Data on cross-border property transactions indicate greater unease among investors prior to the referendum, which voters unexpectedly approved on June 23, than had been captured in the capital markets prior to the vote.
Cross-border capital flows into London real estate fell 44 percent in this year’s first six months from the same period in 2015, according to data from brokerage Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.
Property investors feared Britain’s exit from the EU would erode London’s role as a premier financial center and reduce the value of their investments, the majority of which are office buildings.

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: The one who has good behaviour, God will grant him the position of the one who is fasting and stays up all night (to worship God) [1]. In this regard, Imam Ali (AS) said: The title of the believer’s book (the book of the believer’s deeds on the Day of Judgment) is the good behaviour [2]. It is also narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: Luqman said to his child: My child, if you do not have anything to help your relatives and brother, at least do not lose your good behaviour, because the one who has good behaviour, good people like him and bad people stay away from him [3]. SHAFAQNA – Austrian conservative politicians called for a ban on full body veils on Thursday, saying the veils would hinder women to integrate into the mainly Catholic Austrian society.
Public debate about a ban on full body veils was ignited in several European countries after three French Mediterranean cities baed body-covering Muslim burkini swimwear, saying the burkini defies French laws on secularism.
France, which has the largest Muslim minority in Europe, estimated at 5 million, in 2010 introduced a ban on full-face niqab and burqa veils in public.
Austria’s Foreign and Integration Minister Sebastian Kurz from the centrist People’s Party, who plans to introduce a new integration law next year, said religious symbols such as the burqa were an issue that needed to be discussed.

SHAFAQNA – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi strongly condemned terrorist blasts early this moing in two Turkish cities of Van and Elazig.

SHAFAQNA- Two muslim women win bronze medal of the same class of taekwondo competitions at the Rio Olympics.
Iran’s Kimia Alizadeh Zenoorin has won the bronze medal in the 57kg class of taekwondo competitions, becoming the first Iranian woman to win an Olympic medal.
Egypt’s Hedaya Malak won the bronze medal in the women’s taekwondo -57kg event as well.
Fade Jones from the UK won the gold medal after she triumphed over Gomez 16-7 in the same weight category.

SHAFAQNA- Nearly 7,000 Islamophobic tweets were posted in English every day last month in response to terrorist attacks and the failed coup attempt in Turkey, research has found.
The Centre for the Analysis for Social Media at London-based think-tank Demos said there were “significant spikes in the use of anti-Islamic language on Twitter in the immediate aftermath of news events, particularly terrorist attacks”.
In a report published on Thursday, Demos said nearly a quarter of a million English-language tweets were sent from around the world in July, an average of 6,943 per day.
“This is the highest monthly average since measurements began at the end of February,” the report said.

SHAFAQNA – Members of different Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith groups have banded together to condemn the senseless violence committed against two Muslim men that happened in Queens last weekend.
Last Saturday, an imam, or an Islamic worship leader, and his assistant were fatally shot by an unidentified suspect. The two men were killed in Ozone Park as they were leaving a prayer service. Police officials are still trying to determine the motive of the suspect for carrying out the attack.
Although it was not explicitly said that the murder was an act of religion-based violence, an interfaith group comprising the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge, Temple Beth El of Somerset, the Somerset Presbyterian Church and Fanwood Presbyterian Church released a statement to show their support for the families of the slain victims and their condemnation of the Queens shooting.

The Grand Ayatollah Rouhani: If quoting without mentioning the source appear to those addressed as if no source has been used, naturally it is lying and it is not allowed; otherwise there is no problem.

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Shahroodi answered a question about the allowed sound level of call to prayer (Adhan) from a Mosque.
Question: Please specify the allowed sound level of call to prayer from the minaret of the Mosque. Considering that by using the electronic devices the sound of call to prayer can be amplified many times, what is the allowed sound level which can be broadcasted? It is reminded that the sound level for those neighbours nearer to the Mosque is more than the usual level especially at the time of the dawn when the sound of the surrounding area is less and this has caused criticism.
The Grand Ayatollah Shahroodi: There are no religious obstacles in using the mentioned devices for broadcasting call to prayer; unless it causes aoyance to believers especially the neighbours of the Mosque which in this case it is necessary that the sound be adjusted to the norm

SHAFAQNA- Kuleini and a number of great narrators have narrated this event from Yasa’ ibn Hamzah – one of the companions of Imam Ali ibn Moosa al-Rida (A.S.):
On one of the days, I was in the house of Imam Rida (A.S.) along with many others. The people were asking questions about divine orders, and the Imam fully and explicitly answered each of the questions.
In the meantime, a tall man entered. He greeted the Imam and said:
“O Son of the Messenger of Allah! I am of the people who love and cherish you Ahl al-Bait. I am on my jouey to the holy city of Makkah. I have however, run out of money and food, and am not able to afford to go back to my city.
However possible for you, please help me to retu to my city. Since I am not of the people who are legally permitted to receive alms I will repay the same amount in alms to the poor for the sake of Allah once I reach my city.”
